Why this one
A topic gets discussed and forgotten. A motion gets seconded, debated, voted, and recorded. Write what you want the committee to do.
Copy this and fill in the brackets
Subject: Agenda item for the next regular CEC meeting Chairman [name], I would like to submit the following motion for the agenda of the next regular meeting of the county executive committee. MOTION: That the county executive committee require the county chairman to include, in writing, in each regular committee report, the current general fund balance and a list of expenditures from the general fund since the previous regular report. Three things that make it work
- Name the body, the action, and the deadline.
- Move it as a standing requirement so it does not have to be re-passed every meeting.
- How agenda items are submitted varies by county. Check your own bylaws.
