What to bring
A laptop, tablet, or smartphone, and the charger. This is hands on and you will be working on your own device alongside us on the real websites.
Before you come
Download the companion at home on your own wifi. If you have ten minutes, create a free My TLO account at capitol.texas.gov and bring the login. Account creation needs an email confirmation, and doing it at home means you spend the session using it rather than waiting on it.
Nothing is printed
You get a name tag with a code on it. Everything else lives here and stays here after the session.
The schedule
Doors at 10:00. Training runs to 1:00 with two ten minute breaks. Lunch from 1:00 to 1:30, and presenters stay as long as people want to keep talking.
What you will leave with
- Ask your county chairman for the precinct chair roster
- Submit one agenda item, worded as a motion
- Create a My TLO account and set three alerts
- Write one resolution and send it to your county chairman
- File one public information request
